Truman Homecoming Parade

It was a cold, early morning for the club, but a few people still turned out to march in the parade. Thanks to those who did! Here's a pic of our VP looking very excited to be representing ATSU... at least that's how I interpret it! Stay tuned for more upcoming events.

1st Year Representative Elections

Congratulations to Leslie and Andrew, the new 1st year reps for 2009!

Leslie Teng

KCOM Radiology,

My name is Leslie Teng and I would like to serve as first year representative. I share your interest in radiology and will apply that same passion to promoting the specialty. I am dedicated and reliable and feel as though I am ready to take on the responsibilities of first year representative. I hope to contribute to the organization of events and activities that will increase the club’s, as well as the entire class’s, exposure to radiology. Thank you for your consideration.

Andrew Anderson

I am writing to express my interest in becoming a 1st year representative for the KCOM radiology club. I believe I can exceed the expectations of this position. I am very interested in learning more about the field of radiology and imaging and feel that by being a 1st year representative, it will help me learn more and motivate others to get excited about radiology/imaging as well. I am looking forward to my time in the KCOM Radiology organization, Thanks!

Regards,
Andrew Anderson

Jedidiah Oldham

Hi I am Jedidiah Oldham, (Red Head Jed, there is your first image) I am running for 1st year representative.

I would be a great representative because everyone sees me everyday setting up turning on the computer and projector for class. Therefore it would be easy for me to represent the Radiology club by keeping everyone informed about what is happening. In addition I have looked at numerous radiographs that are very personal to me; I have broken my arm seven times. I also worked with a cardiologist on a research project involving MRI’s, very fascinating stuff

With classes in full swing, it's time to start finalizing your club loyalties! If you missed today's Imaging Club meeting, allow me to recap the salient details. I need your club dues ($25 – 1 year or $40 – 2 years) before September 25 (next Friday) if you want to join the club. I'm sure Scott Thomas or Jeff Ziffra would be happy to take them from you as well if you see one of them first. Now, the details about the 1st year representative positions:

1.Responsible for making club announcements to your class.
2.Assist with Service Project.
3.Submit a letter of intent (around a paragraph is enough) to kcomradiology@gmail.com before 5pm Tuesday, September 22. The election will occur online (most likely via survey).

This position is a minimal time commitment, so consider it if you have any interest. If you have any further questions, feel free to email the club address or any of the officers personally. Also, have a look at the transverse MRI section below. Now that you've finished spine, you first years can probably see the problem as well. (Hint: Usually diagnosed with a sagittal MRI)
